Rebranding a local deli to feel more inviting and authentic
Under new ownership the proprietor wanted a refresh, updating the brand as a whole, making it authentic to
it's location (Watchet) and incorporating traditional
deli values.
Working with the client, I provided a cohesive brand and signage solutions that thought about the shops flow, legibility and aimed to entice customers in with a pop of colour on the exterior and eye level graphics.

The Old Deli Shop

Initial Moodboard

"Chloe has done a great job and was highly efficient - locals are loving the colour"
The old shop used "New York" style American type paired with red stools and metro tiles which gave the shop a fast food, takeaway feel.
Selling a range of local products, home cooked pasties and vibrant fresh salads, I wanted to scrap the fast food stereotypes and make the colours fitting to the vintage appeal of a traditional deli while also standing out on the street.
Logo concepts incorporated pie shapes, union jacks and vintage typography while having the iconic Watchet lighthouse as the main feature.
Bespoke signage was made to fit the flow of the shop and incorporated blackboard areas to write the prices.
